Community Education and Northfield Tennis Association have been working together to uphold the strong tradition of tennis in Northfield. Coaches are carefully selected, trained, and are highly skilled, motivational, and excellent with kids! By utilizing equipment and court dimensions tailered to age and size, coaches will engage participants with innovative and unique training equipment and drills to effectively train youth for the game. Players are strongly encouraged to register for at least two tennis sessions throughout the summer.
Beginner (entering grades K-8) Classes highlighted in MAROON
Designed to help develop agility, balance and coordination, lessons include movement activities, fun instructional drills, recreational games, and will focus on the learning of basic strokes.
Intermediate (entering grades K-8) Classes highlighted in GREEN
Designed to help develop agility, balance and coordination, lessons include movement activities, fun instructional drills, recreational games, and will focus on the learning of basic strokes. A mix of beginner and advanced beginner skills will be taught in the 6th – 8th grade session.

This program combines drill work and a focus on skill development with match play opportunities. Designed for the more advanced player, this program will enhance your technique and tennis playing ability. If you play tennis at the middle school or high school level or have had experience with match play, this program is for you!
