NORTHFIELD TENNIS ASSOCIATION PROGRAMS / COVID-19 UPDATE:
The Northfield Tennis Association is continuing to follow the mandates and recommendations from the State of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Health. As of today, the Northfield High School tennis courts are open* and the decision has been made that Northfield Community Services will be running a youth tennis program and Junior Team Tennis program beginning July 6th. Information has also been updated regarding adult summer league play. We will be continuing to work closely with Community Services to provide updates on the status of the upcoming programming.. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this uncertain time.
As we continue to adapt to new daily routines and look for ways to keep our children active, consider visiting the USTA’s website for resources on how to engage in tennis at home! Visit the USTA and check out their Net Generation Play At Home program.
*Players are strongly encouraged to review Guidance for Social Distancing recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health.
The Northfield Tennis Association (NTA) is dedicated to the USTA’s mission “to promote and develop the growth of tennis.” We are a Minnesota Nonprofit Corporation founded in the fall of 2006. The purposes for which the NTA was organized are:
- to promote the playing of tennis by juniors and adults
- to develop public educational tennis programs
- to conduct competitive and recreational public tennis events
- to promote the availability of year-round public tennis courts
Participation in any educational tennis programs, competitive and recreational tennis events and other activities sponsored by the NTA is open to all.
Look for information on NTA meetings as community events and activities resume.
